EAST MEETS WEST: PROSPECT AVENUE WALKING TOUR

Parking: available at Elizabeth Park (enter at southwest corner of Prospect and Asylum Avenues, use driveway marked “One Way” or on street
Join HPA’s Mary Falvey and award-winning architectural historian Mary Donohue for a guided tour of Prospect Avenue-the boundary of Hartford and West Hartford. Hartford’s elite began moving to Prospect Avenue in the 1880’s and built stunning mansions along the avenue including the current Governor’s Mansion and the Beatrice Fox Auerbach House. Designed by the Hartford’s best architects using the finest of materials, these Colonial Revival and Tudor homes have big stories to tell!

Harriet Beecher Stowe Center Offers Free Saturday Tours for Hartford Residents
The Stowe Center invites all Hartford residents (including students at Hartford colleges and universities) to “Get to Know Stowe” through a free Saturday house tour. More info: Harriet Beecher Stowe Center
The Hartford Preservation Alliance offers Private Walking Tours for groups on a flat fee schedule:
- $150 for 6-10 participants
- $225 for 11-20 participants
- $275 for 21-40 participants
Tours available to groups such as: Religious Organizations, Clubs, Neighborhood Residents and Employee Groups.
School groups – 6th grade and up and accompanied by teachers and chaperones.
